Z9 More time

I have been using my new mirrorless camera for about two weeks now and have some thoughts. If you are into wildlife or sports photography the new mirrorless cameras can be game changers.  I have a Nikon Z9, but would include the top end cameras from Canon and Sony when say that. The frame rate, focus speed, and the eye detect/subject detect. I was slow to adapt to the new technology, and I recommend to anyone on the fence, go for it! You will be glad you did.  I have never thrown away more, sharp, well exposed images, as I have in the last two weeks. There are just too many good ones to keep them all! It doesn’t matter which brand you select they all make great cameras!

I am still experimenting with focus modes and autofocus areas, but for now I have the main focus button set to Auto Area Focus (which uses the whole viewfinder), and animal eye detect; a second button for Nikon’s 3D tracking; and a third button for small area focus with animal eye detect. I just went to this combination this weekend and it seems a winner.

Here are just a few of the images I have taken recently that take advantage of all the new technology has to offer. I know there are plenty here that I probably would not have accomplished with my old dSLR.
